One on One Interpersonal 10 minute CommunicationOne on One Interpersonal 10 minute Communication

SDC would like to engage students in some form of interpersonal communication on a regular basis to prepare them for the job interview process as they learn to talk one on one effectively, how well we communicate with others is a measure of our interpersonal skills. Interpersonal communication is the process by which people exchange information, feelings, and meaning through verbal and non-verbal messages: it is a face to face communication.

Interpersonal communication is not just about what is actually said, the language used, but how it is said and the non-verbal messages sent through the tone of voice, facial expressions, gestures and body language.

When two or more people are in the same place and are aware of each other's presence, then communication is taking place, no matter how subtle or unintentional. Without speech, an observer may be using cues of posture, facial expression, and dress to form an impression of the other's role, emotional state, personality and/or intentions. Although no communication may be intended, people receive messages through such forms of non-verbal behavior. SCD main goal is to get every student coming to the University of Cambodian to speak one on one proficiently. UC students should not have any problem speaking English fluently with accuracy and great understanding after they have taken One on One Interpersonal 10 minute Communication for the majority of the time that they attend the University of Cambodia. For the majority of the UC Khmer students speaking English, accuracy, fluency, pronunciation, and understanding need improvement. If the students are serious in learning how to speak English fluently, getting the best of the job interview, at the same time be the potential hired candidate for the job that they applied for, the student must make the best of his or her time management and find ways to make it to the One on One session.
